Another year of snow and bitter cold. Whoopee.

First "official" snow of the year. 8 degrees on the way to school and ice everywhere. Good start to a white Christmas :)

For those of you that know anything about Kody's personality these pics might be hard to believe, but yes, he did ask a girl to Homecoming! :) They took pics with the guns because they went shooting on their "day" date.

Harvest time!

Because no one has blogged for a while, I thought I would share with all what is just now coming out of our garden. We have had a plentiful harvest this year regardless of late snow storms, frosts and a major hail storm a little over a month ago that stripped most of our plants back to just the vines. Shone above are; beets, broccoli, bell peppers, 2 types of zucchini, and green beans. Exciting times for this former farmer!

Morgan was asked to sing the National Anthem at Benson's 4th of July celebration. We were very honored that she was asked and a little nervous, too. She was asked to sing right before the fireworks presentation started. We didn't know where she was going to be, or really what to expect, so that made it a little harder on the nerves. Okay, so mainly it was just me who was nervous, until we found out that she was going to have to wear these big headphones - then Morgan was a little worried, too. It was totally dark when she sang so our video picture is not great but at least you can hear it. We think she did a great job and are proud of her for being so brave.:) We had some people tell us that they stayed home or were watching the fireworks from a different spot and they could hear her. I guess between the breeze and the great sound system her voice carried. After it was over a couple came up and told us next year they would make sure she was up on the big screen while she sang. I said "next year? she's not doing it next year." But they had other ideas...
She is still hoping to get an award or prize from the mayor for doing this...so far no luck! :)

Before and a little nervous:

After, back to her normal self:

She graduated in the top 10% of her class of 725.
She also was awarded Excellent Student from the American Legion, voted on by all the teachers.
We are very proud of her and all of our kids! :)

Summertime fun or Bored 'cause your brother's on the Trek?

Since nobody has posted for quite some time I thought I would again...... Big brother's been on the Trek since Wednesday and little sister is a little bored, so she had her mother snap some photos.

I'm not sure if the tattoo is because she's bored also or if she gave in to some peer pressure.

By the way, it's starting to turn to spring in the mountains!

Springtime in the Mountains?!?!

Some of you, those who actually look at this blog, may be asking yourselves, "Why are the Pinetop Crocketts posting pictures from last winter?" And the answer is..... It's not last winter it's tonight, the 21st of April 2010. Oh the beauties of living in the White Mountains. You just never know what you're going to get from one day to the next. So much for Cortlee's home track meet tomorrow!

Here's to Macey!

What a week! I thought it'd be nice for everyone to write a little something to/for Macey. I know she is in all of our thoughts and prayers, but this could be like an ecard or something. :)
So if you have a minute drop a line!
We love you Macey!! (and you, too Lynzi:) - I couldn't crop you out, so I guess you get to share the spotlight - a little :) )

I love Macey. She lets me play with her American Girl doll and all the cool stuff with it. I love to play with her pink poodle with babies and she even let me take them home. Thank you. I hope you get all better and get to come home soon.
Love, Morgan

Macey, I hope you feel better. I am praying for you in my prayers. I hope you get to come home from the hospital soon.
Love, Kolten

Macey,
We are so happy that you are starting to feel better. You are such a good example to all of us - I know our kids look up to you. You have been such a sweet, good girl since you were just a baby. Your talents and abilities in school, writing, art, and more, always amaze me. You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. We love you.

Girly-girls!

Well, the Fultz's are back in town!  (Half of them anyway.)  And my girls are way excited.  They just LOVE Christiane and Jarrett.  They invited them to stay the night last night, and after the movie Jarrett decided he'd rather sleep at Grandma's, but Christiane stayed.  (Thank goodness, I would've had two sad girls to deal with!)  Just in case you were wondering why they like Christiane so much, I will show you!
She paints their toenails,
And does their hair all cute,
And she plays Polly Pockets with them, or hide-n-go-seek, or does whatever they want to do.  What's not to LOVE?
Cousins DO make the best friends!

Better late then never?

Okay for those of you who missed it and for those who didn't here are some pictures of the fun time we had at our family Christmas party. It was really a good time and I'm glad we can still get together and make some memories. Since I took like a gazillion pictures I will do slide show(s). :)

Here are some from the Temple Service Project Saturday morning.

Okay so I didn't label these pictures. A) Because I didn't have time, B)Because you should know who they are, and C) If you don't know who someone is, then you might want to come to the next family get together and get reacquainted with us!:)

Ditto from above...

So I only had a couple pictures left and I couldn't leave these out! Especially the pie eating contest one!! (The last one) Ha, ha...it just looks like we were having a pie eating contest!!:)
